SPORTS MASSAGE

SPORTS MASSAGE IS FOR EVERYONE you do not need to be a professional athlete. If you work at a desk - you may suffer with muscle tension and repetitive injuries which need attention, treatment is not just linked to sports injuries. Sports Massage uses a combination of deep tissue massage, soft tissue release, muscle energy techniques and stretching to mobilise joints and decrease muscle tension.

SWEDISH MASSAGE

Enjoy a Swedish massage tailored to your needs: relaxation massage, deep tissue massage, head and neck therapy, back massage, foot & hand massage...

Swedish massage is used mainly to relax muscles and ease aches and pains. It is a combination of various movements used to manipulate tissues, ranging from gentle to invigorating manipulation. It relaxes tension and pain allowing the body to effectively relax and rejuvenate. It improves circulation, increases joint mobility and may relieve mental and physical stress and anxiety.

Note, Swedish massage is less intensive than sport massage.

CUPPING MYOFASCIAL THERAPY

Cupping has been used in Chinese medicine for thousands of years. I offer dry cupping (meaning no heat or fire is used). Cupping is a great way to increase blood flow, remove stagnant blood and promote healing. This is used mainly with Sports Massage.

ONCOLOGY MASSAGE

One of the main reasons people with cancer use massage is because it helps them feel good. It is a way they feel they can help themselves.
Massage therapy can help lift your mood, improve your sleep and enhance your well being. There is some evidence to help support these benefits. Massage for people with cancer might help you relax and cope with:

  • Stress

  • Anxiety

  • Headaches

  • Pain
